Monguelfo Val Casies-
Partendo da Monguelfo Tesido seguiamo la pista ciclabile attraversando Planca di Sopra, San Martino e arrivare a Santa Maddalena. Ancora un ultimo tratto ci porta fino a dove comincia il sentiero dello Scoiattolo. La salita nel bosco ci porta a raggiungere il Malga Messner.
Da qui una bella salita con tornanti, fuori dal bosco, e quindi con una bella vista sulla valle, ci porta fino alla Malga Oberberg, momentaneamente chiusa. Siamo in prossimità del confine con l’Austria raggiungibile con un sentiero non ciclabile.
Ritorniamo indietro e poco prima della Malga Messner incontriamo la Malga Kradorfer e poi proseguiamo per tornare, con qualche piccola variante, al punto di partenza.
Monguelfo Val Casies-
Starting from Monguelfo Tesido we follow the cycle path through Planca di Sopra, San Martino and on to Santa Maddalena. One last stretch takes us to where the Squirrel Trail begins. The ascent through the forest takes us to the Malga Messner.
From here, a beautiful ascent with hairpin bends, out of the forest and therefore with a beautiful view over the valley, takes us up to the Oberberg Hut, which is temporarily closed. We are now close to the Austrian border, which can be reached via a non-cycling path.
We turn back and just before the Messneralm we meet the Kradorferalm and then continue on to return, with a few small changes, to our starting point.
